Hiramoana Maniapoto

Kia ora, my name is Hiramoana & my role at Rerenga Awa is the Tangata Whenua Development Project Coordinator. I have been working alongside youth for over 13 years in various roles such as after school programmes, holiday programmes, residential services and advocacy. I have always been in community focused roles, and have been passionate about whanau ora, strengthening families and advocating for whanau from all walks of life. I have recently come from Womens Refuge, working in Transitional Housing, supporting whanau into long term sustainable housing. I am a Mama of 5 tamariki and enjoy spending time with whanau, going to our local hahi & doing anything with my whanau & friends. My ideal “day in the life” would be, swimming at the river with a mean as jump spot, bbq going, music flowing & eating heaps of kai – simple life! I look forward to 2024 and what Rerenga Awa has installed for this year.
